At the helm of one of Austin's most prominent restaurant success stories (Iguana Grill & Waterloo Ice Houses) Ted Karam, President and CEO of Igloo Group, Inc. is the key investor in Austin Catering. Ted began the Igloo group back in 1993, when he saw the need for relaxed atmosphere restaurants. Continually improving quality and expanding into other ventures, Karam has now delved into catering! Deciding to move into a new arena of foodservice, Karam teamed up with a seasoned professional in her own right, Kristin Stephens - and Austin Catering was born.
Kristin Stephens - Director of Catering
For over thirteen years, Kristin Stephens has been managing restaurants and catering companies. Her B.S. in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Houston reinforces Stephens experience. Just a few of her numerous credits include: Word of Mouth Catering, Tony's @ Home Catering (Houston, TX), Austin Country Club & Café Annie (Houston, TX). Austin Catering is a platform where Kristin is truly able to shine by creating artistic innovative menus and inspired whimsical event designs. Her years of experience and endless dedication to "The Perfect Event" make Austin Catering a true trailblazer!
Susan Harris - Senior Event Planner
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Susan has worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for the past 7 years. She started her career in catering at Word of Mouth Catering, where she honed her skills as an event planner. She joined Austin Catering in November of 2004 and is excited to be a part of such a dynamic, rapidly growing company.

Years of extensive European training and working for the likes of: Clothing designer, Ellen Tracy, Word of Mouth Catering and numerous dignitaries - our ever elusive executive chef, always wishes to remain anonymous. He is endlessly creative, an amazing baker, passionate about true Texan cuisine and an incredible interpreter of each and every clients needs. Mouthwatering delicacies flow from his hands for your special event.
